"'Aria of the Soul' may well be one of the most beautifully haunting melodies in video game music. The primary goal of this arrangement is to symbolize the journey of a Persona user. A free, mysterious piano introduction causes the listener to ask 'where are we?' - a common question upon first entering the Velvet Room. As the arrangement continues, the listener is taken on a journey that develops the theme and texture further, finally rounding out the arrangement with a 'march to glory' that symbolizes the Persona user's acceptance of his newfound power and destiny." - Eric L
